Throop’s Read, Write, Walk-a-Thon is Thursday, October 12th. All money must be turned in by Wednesday, October 11th, to be counted toward the class total. The class raising the most money will win a pizza party! The student who raises the most money will receive ice cream coupons for the remainder of the school year. Any student who raises at least $25 will receive an ice cream coupon and be entered into a drawing for gift cards and other prizes. Throop’s Read, Write, Walk-a-Thon COIN RACES are now through October 11th. Be sure to bring in coins to vote for the Throop Staff Member YOU would like to see participate in the RWW games. Drop off coins in the mornings in the cafeteria.

Here are a couple of reminders about summer school: Summer School is from Tuesday, May 30 - Friday, June 16. The students must arrive by 8:00 am, and dismissal is at noon. Summer School breakfast will be served from 7:30 am - 8:30 am, and lunch is 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Swim Students in the morning group must eat as soon as they arrive so the bus can leave. Please do not drop students off before 7:30 am. There are classes still available if you want your child to attend.

Throop Elementary will honor sixth-grade students with a completion ceremony on Friday, May 19, at 11:00 a.m. The ceremony is in the Mary U. Auditorium at PHS. Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. Visitors must enter the auditorium on the West side of the high school (Door 11). Parking is available on the west side of the high school and in the bus parking lot. Families must pick up kindergarten through fifth-grade students from Throop before the completion ceremony. Sixth-grade students can leave with their families after the celebration. Please let the classroom teacher know before you go with the student.

Throop Kindergarten Graduation is Friday, May 19th, at 9:00 a.m. in the Throop Gym. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. Parking is available in front of Throop and the gym parking lot. There will be a welcome table outside the gym where Throop staff can call down first through sixth-grade students attending the graduation. Reminder, All Summer School forms must be turned in by Friday, May 5th. Summer School Swimming: If you completed a swim survey for your child, you must also complete a purple summer school form to sign your child up for swimming. There is a $75.00 fee to hold a spot for your child. The money must be turned in no later than Friday, May 5. The classes are capped at 72 students for swimming classes. The first 72 students that pay will have a reserved spot pending your child does not have to attend summer school for both Math and ELA. Make checks payable to: Paoli Community School Corp.
